How can I persuade My Parents to let me have a Blackberry?

Okay so i'm 13, and i currently have a SE w302 phone, which really isn't great. I find it frustrating, and as im turning 14 (and going to boarding school on tuesday) I would like to get a new phone.

My parents have agreed, and said they would let me do that but give my old phone to my brother. I'm set on getting a Blackberry Curve, has all the features I need, but I'm afraid that they will turn my request down as the phone is too expensive for a teenager and too flashy. I'm not asking for much, it's the entry level Blackberry with pretty much nil amazing features. They both have amazing bolds, but still may consider the Blackberry not acceptable for me.

Please could you give me points and tactics to help me convince them?? I would like to get it soon, and i am very reliable (my previous phone is in perfect condition and I get good grades and would consider myself a nice, helpful person.

is it possible I have Hypothyroidism?

I have been finding it extremely difficult to lose weight, in fact I have to work very hard just to maintain my current weight.

I am seeing a nutritionist & having a good working knowledge of nutrition myself (I have worked in organic stores most of my life) I can't understand why it is so difficult for me to maintain my body weight.

I eat no processed foods or snacks, only small regulated amounts of healthy fats like raw nuts & coconut oil,, drink 2-3 liters of water per day & no coffee, tea or alcohol. I have an extremely active job where I am on my feet all day & do a lot of heavy lifting, running around + I go the gym 3-4 days a week for an hour.

I looked up the symptoms of hypothyroidism & it seems to fit
•Fatigue (yes, I often find myself falling asleep on the couch as early as 7:30pm. I wake up so tired)
•Weakness (I often feel faint & dizzy)
•Weight gain or increased difficulty losing weight (obviously)
•Coarse, dry hair (My hair snaps off in your hands dispute regular trims & treatments)
•Dry, rough pale skin (very dry skin despite daily moisturizing)
•Hair loss (my boyfriend can't believe I am not bald at the rate my hair falls out)
•Cold intolerance (I don't feel cold all the time but once I do get cold I find it really difficult to warm back up. I usually need to soak in a hot bath for an hour If I have been out in very cold weather)
•Muscle cramps and frequent muscle aches (nil)
•Constipation (only occasional)
•Depression (nil)
•Irritability (some)
•Memory loss (I can't remember anything!)
•Abnormal menstrual cycles (really heavy & long cycles up to 8 days. I often have to take a few days off work)
•Decreased libido (nil)

Do you think it is worth having myself check out?
Last time I discussed my weight with a doctor he didn't really seem to believe I eat as well as I do because I also suffer with high blood pressure.

My new husband and I met 13 years ago. We dated for 3 years and then grew apart when I moved to go to school. In January we started dating again and by March he proposed. We got married in the middle of July. 2 days ago he was served with paternity papers. I was angry, sad, mad, ferrous about this. I was confused and hurt. The baby was conceived during November 09 and was born 2 weeks after my husband and I were married. I can not have children without in vitro. So the likely hood of us having children was almost nil. The mother contacted my husband today after he had called her and they set up the paternity test for next week. The mother wants her free time and said we could take the baby whenever we wanted. I did not want this baby at all at 1st but now I am thinking it may be a good thing for us. I wanted my husband to myself for a wile but now I'm kind of excited to be a mommy. I know I'm not her bio mom but this wont be much different than an open adoption, with the mom only having short visits. We will have a child that is at least part of 1 of us.
The mother never told him she was pregnant. The Doctor confermed that she never knew until 4 days before the baby was born. She drank and had no prenatal care so my poor baby may have disabilities.

Why do I feel depressed and angry after an orgasm?

I've been with my partner for a long time now, and I say honestly that I love him deeply. But when we have sex, from the quickie to the extraordinary love session, I always feel so awful after I've orgasm. It's a sensation that is hard to explain. It's like as soon as I orgasm, I feel resentful, angry, bitter, and I want nothing but to be left alone. This doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it happens frequently. Enough so that it makes for awkward moments in bed and the 'after cuddling' can be reduced to nil. Hi, my husband is 24 and has been smoking since last 8-9 yrs. thank god he is not a chain smoker right now but he smokes at least 15 cigarettes a day. i have tried everything to stop him doing this, but failed.

Moving from Alaska to CONUS?

I went to the travel office to get information on an ERD/ARD, and I knew a lady that works in there, so I am asking on here. My husband is deploying within the next 9 months, and we have been waiting for on post housing for over a year, and I found out last week that the chances of us being able to get on post prior it it being more than 12 months before our DEROS is slightly above nil. As we are in Fairbanks, and the past winter dang near killed me (I have thyroid disease, so don't call me a weenie!), I have decided that it would be in my family's best interest to return to the lower 48 for the rest of this overseas tour. We have requested Fort Hood as our next duty station, and since I have never met a soul who did not get Fort Hood when they requested it, we are going to go ahead and get settled in there. I am wondering if anybody knows if the Army will pay for our PCS move should he come down on orders for somewhere other than Hood? Like, for example, I get our ERD and we go to Hood, and then he gets back from down range and his orders end up telling us that we are going to Ft Stewart.... will the Army move our HHG to Stewart from where we are in Killeen? Real fast, I've been an Army wife for 10 years, my husband is a Sr NCO, and lots of people know who we are, I am asking on here for the sake of anonymity, so I completely understand what an ERD entails as far as losing command sponsorship, so please, young Army wives, keep your "opinions" to yourselves...I'm just after the facts! I will be setting up a website next month and need some advice/suggestions on who to use:

1) I will be selling jewelry online so I need quite a few pages/unlimited product listing
2) I will need a shopping card (I'm already registered with Paypal and Google Merchant)
3) I need something reasonably priced. I don't want something super cheap that will unreliable but I also can't afford something really expensive

Any suggestions on who to use that would meet my needs? I've been doing research but I just don't know who to go with.

Also, if I change web hosting companies later, will I be able to take my domain name and website setup with me or would I have to start from scratch with the new provider? This last question should be an indication of my technical knowledge (which is pretty much nil!) =)

I lost about 35 pounds last year and I've kept it off, but?

now that I've lost that weight, it's as though my immune system is nil. I get sick A LOT easier than I used to. It's nothing bad, it's just, I'm more susceptible to illnesses than I was heavier. The thing is, I'm only half way to my goal weight (126) I now weigh 146. I do tend to work jobs that keep around people-I went from being to a waitress to now I'm a daycare teacher and I know daycare teachers get sick, but I've never gotten this sick before. The daycare is VERY clean, neat, tidy, etc. We use proper precautions and everything, but I was at the doctor this morning and they told me I have walking pneumonia. Any reason as to why this is?

We were meant to go to a gig together, so was thinking of putting in two tickets (already purchased) for her to take whomever she wants. This is not me trying to buy her back, genuinely trying to do something nice from bottom of my heart. I know chances are practically nil at the moment. I told her all this i.e. how I feel, face to face, two, three times already.

I got her a bracelet from a recent holiday, nothing too expensive... And a pair of earrings, is that too much? Maybe like a farewell present... Im WRITING the letter because the last time we met we left things on bad terms, every time we meet, the conversation of ‘us’ always gets bought up, I honestly think it would be better not to see her... I know someone who is 16 years old lives in Canada now I read up by law someone can leave their parents at age 16? But what if she wanted to come to the U.S how would she go about doing this? She has someone to stay with in America but I am wondering once she is in the U.S would the U.S laws apply? Would she not be able to live on her own? Why do I have so much saliva?

So for the past few days in the mid morning, I've been having issues with ridiculous amounts of saliva. To the point that yesterday, I actually drooled onto my computer. All of the swallowing of the saliva makes me nauseous, but when I spit it, it makes me sick too. I've tried eating things to make it stop, it just made it worse or made me feel sick again. I am dribbling so much that it's made me scared to go out because I don't want to embarrass myself.

After the morning passes, it seems to go away.

I know that the saliva and nausea can be caused by pregnancy, I found that out when I googled it. I think it's extremely unlikely that I'm pregnant though. The last time I had sex was in May and I tested negative in July. I've been having regular two day periods since June that barely fill a pad and even though that's irregular for me, I think the chances of me being pregnant are minimal or close to nil.

I don't think it's GERD because I haven't been having heartburn, only the occasional sore throat when I wake up, that's pretty normal for me. My doctor won't put me on medication for it because she is worried about its effects on my calcium levels.

My stomach is looking very bloated which is unusual because I've not been eating well (from feeling sick) and although I've neither gained nor lost weight, I've never had a tummy like this (I'm 152 cm and 46 kgs). I'm nearly 21 and otherwise pretty healthy. I can't understand why this would be happening?

So does anyone had any experience with, or know other causes of excessive saliva?

Confused about when my financial year starts & ends. Please Help?

Hi I wondered if anyone could help me.

I registered my company with Companies house in April.
I started working full time for my Company in June, As the actual shop was due to open in July however due to massive problems with the building I have leased the shop will now not open until 1st October.
I have not received a penny in wages as I am not actually trading & won't be until 1st October.
I have however been on my payroll & every month since I was an employee (Director) of my company I have filled & returned nil payment pay slips to HMRC for PAYE/NICs.
My husband will be joining the company as a part time employee in the very near future & will also not be receiving any pay.

I have received a letter from HMRC informing me that the following dates are my accounting periods:
* First Accounting period end date - 18th April 2011
*Date by which company needs to pay it's Corporation Tax 19th Jan 2012
* Deliver it's Company tax return - 30th April 2012

Do I go with these dates starting my year in October 2010 until April 2011 or Would it be from when I registered with companies house in April 2010, or when I started working for the Company in June 2010 ???
So confused. Does it matter that I have not made any money or started trading yet ??

Any help appreciated.
I have scoured HMRC website but can't find clarification on this type of situation anywhere.

Hi, i go to a school in California and have been going to a community college for a while now. I wish to fill out a tag/taa which is a transfer agreement or transfer alliance agreement with uc san diego. My major that i want to apply with is for computer science yet my gpa is only a 3.15 The question i have is do i have any hope in getting in... I just recently over the summer got a F in one of my classes yet it was for a course that isnt really being looked at by the college since its number is above 1-49 which is the ones colleges look at. Also i have done only 1 class thats related to my major but i have done all the classes i need for my igetc or ge. So i plan on doing mostly classes for my major this coming up year and finishing most of them. Is it worth trying to get in? this is gonna be my third year and so i dont really want to stick around for another year to finish up more classes and raise my gpa. Please give me realistic answers, planning on just dropping out and joining the marines if my chances are nil, which im pretty sure they are.

my brother was starved of oxygen over quite a few hours because doctors failed to do an emergency c section in time, he was covered in his own faceies and needed revived, he failed to develop as an infant and had a low APAG score, didn't walk til 3yrs! he is now able bodied but his mental capacity is almost nil, he has zero concentration, very little speech, no concept of time, is unable to look after himself and is prone to behaviour problems! the difficult birth evidence is in his birth notes inc his falling heart rate! it has taken many yrs to get doctors to acknowledge us, they finally agreed to an mri which came back normal! the medical establishment seems to be a brick wall to us, any thoughts out there???

My son was diagnosed ADD at around 13 years of age and prescribed Ritalin. After getting dosage sorted, it transformed him. Basically without Ritalin, he alienated everyone,peers, teachers and most people he came into contact with. He would annoy and irritate people to the point where he was assaulted on several occasions.He was unable to concentrate for any length of time and we were in despair as his employment prospects appeared to be nil. I even considered the possibility that I would have to set him up with some kind of work myself.
Now I know all the varying opinions on Ritalin and don't wish to hear any more. suffice to say, in my sons case, it was a godsend. He was transformed into a sociably adept youth who started to blossom at school and make lots of friends and freely admits he became much happier. His school reports became so much better and positive, and he became a popular lad with his teachers. ( we had moved him to another school for a fresh start.)
At the age of 16, he sadly decided that Ritalin was too dangerous, and that he could achieve similar results with cannabis. For over 10years now, he has gone from one dead end job to another, and has come nowhere close to realising his full potential.
There have been incidents similar to his childhood experiences where he was seriously assaulted just because he goaded someone to the point where they lashed out. Several credible witnesses spoke to the fact that he brought it entirely upon himself.
We have had several discussions, heated debates and falling outs over the subject. I am no psychiatrist and can only speak as a loving father who wants the best for his son. I have witnessed at first hand the enormous benefits my son received from taking Ritalin. It may work differently for different people, but in my sons case it totally transformed him and allowed him to be "normal."
Sorry for being so long winded, but wanted to give a full history. Is there a drug available to adults which would produce the same results as the Ritalin did?
It really did appear that my sons chemical make-up was missing one vital ingredient which Ritalin provided.

Homeless and wanting to go back to school!?

I'm a man of 34 years of age. I left college in pursuit of my dream... that is of building a successful business with the conviction that one day I'll raise my cheerished son of 14 into becoming a master businessman. After 10 years of "failing forward" and three failed businesses, I've decided to return to school and get my degree. The lessons learned have been priceless. However, the current challenges are many. I will not go into great detail except to say this. Like so many Americans, I currently am unemployed and searching for a "job". I'm temporarily residing with my sister but staying here any longer isn't an option, neither is living with parents. Also, I checking into a homeless shelter tomorrow. My credit score is around 500 so applying for a loan through a bank isn't an option. I have no savings, insurance or anything of the sort to rely upon. My student loans are in default status from several years ago and I do not have anyone in my life whom I can borrow money from.
In other words, my support system is nil to none from people in my life. Will someone, anyone share some insight on what options I may have for going back to school.

P.S. I'm preparing to enter several business plan competitions across the country next year, in spite of the current growth opportunities, I'm extremely optimistic.

I have really less marks till my 3rd year.. My aggregate is 50.5%..

I'm pretty skilled in practical work though, like doing electornic circuit work or other stuff...

But..
I'm very good in computer softwares, like Flash, 3dsMax, and exceptionally good in Adobe Photoshop...
I'm really interested in that designing stuff.. I'm always drawing or making Music on my PC..

Opinions sought and want help with this to do with relationships?

We get along well, we laugh and joke around, and arguing is Far and Few between. As humans do, he's got moods (he gets down, mad and needie) etc. We've been together 21-months and have long-term plans (e.g. marriage). We live together and as all couples do, there's been ups and downs. About two months ago he went through a tough time, he was down and moods were erratic. We pulled through. However, the past week it's been terrible with me. I've been up and down, smiling one minute and the next minute I'm in tears. Feeling worthless, depressed and stupid. I've needed beaus love and attention more this week, getting upset because he doesn't call me at work. I'm NOT like this all the time, sure I have moments... As does beau, but this week I've been stressed to the max. Stressing about our relationship, that were growing apart but there's nil indication it is. I started a job with higher stress and responsibilities last week as well. I come home and without Fail, I am tired and exhausted. The job I am in needs high mental stamina, plus important decisions need to be made. All came to a head last night, I cried and beau said some things that made me sad. He said he's sick OF me wanting love all the time (this week), he said I need to relax about the relationship and don't stress about it because he's NOT going and that's it's not pleasant to see me in tears. Well, I cried even more and I told him I Felt vulnerable, because I was honest. I had so much sitting on the mind, that we discussed it in great detail and I was Feeling The question is, has this happened to You, or does it happen ? I was later advised that beau is stressed too. I didn't realise and Felt horrible that I was needing the love he couldn't provide. He said to me we can't Force the love, it will happen. I don't get it, to me freedom and independence are much more important than saving that relatively small amount of money and going through the hassle of tenants, etc. Not to mention one's privacy in order to have an adult relationship would be nil whilst living with one's parents. I know times are supposedly tough, but why would a guy even be dating if he doesn't have his own place and would be over at his girlfriend's place ALL the time. It doesn't seem fair to the girlfriend and probably just a way to get away from his parents who are probably driving him bonkers! To me, if one can't reciprocate in an adult relationship, then one should not be dating. I'm just trying to figure out whether to pursue this relationship or not, as you can tell I have my doubts. I just can't see that this guy could be serious about any relationship except for the 'fling' kind. Any thoughts?
